Similar to Mimi’s need for chocolate, I have a horrendous sweet tooth that is only sated by daily consumption of a bit of something sugary. My coffee table looks naked without a box of chocolate covered raisins, candy bar miniatures, or my all time personal favorite – a bowl of M&M’s. Thanks to Chocolate Obsession I learned that white chocolate M&M’s are available, and I scoured the shelves of stores that I thought would carry them. After a few disappointing trips to nearby drugstores, I spied my white whale on a cluttered Safeway shelf. The candies are quite delicious, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The candy shell adds a nice crunchy contrast to the creaminess of the white chocolate in a way that reminds me of Reese’s Pieces. I really wish these new M&M’s weren’t just a limited edition tie in to Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, because they would be an awesome permanent addition to the M&M candy line-up.
