When Zits Attack!

My skincare routine, which I have been pretty faithful to for the past 4 years, recently decided that it in fact hated me, and launched a series of hostile attacks on my face. After two weeks of increasingly depressing skin freakouts, I gave up and headed to Sephora (one of Become’s trusted merchants!) to find a cure before my face exploded. After browsing around for a couple hours, I settled on a cleanser and a peel from MD Skincare, and a day moisturizer from Ole Henriksen. One of my friends had been testing the peel out and raved about it to me, so I figured it was worth trying out. The cleanser, I had sorta researched online, had pretty good reviews, and as a plus, was a cleanser and toner in one. Score one for laziness convenience and cost efficiency.

I got the Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel in the two container set (30 pads in each, to be used up in a month or else they will dry up). In the future, I’ll get the travel pack set instead ($3 more), because as someone helpfully pointed out on Amazon, those will last longer for people who don’t want to use the peel on their face every night. So far, both products are fantastic. The cleanser is light and herbally, non-irritating for sensitive skin, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin looks smoother and less red. The peel is awesome. It’s really helped my skin, although it’s not something I would want to use everyday. Still, if you’re in the market for a new cleanser and a peel, these two products are excellent.

As for the Ole Henriksen Herbal Day Cream, a huge thumbs down for me. It pretty much sat on my face and refused to be absorbed. Total grossness.
