Carnival of Shopping #9

horse.jpgApparently we’ve gotten our wires crossed again and missed our regular Carnival posting date—DOH! Someone should really do something about this, like create some device with boxes and numbers and days of the week. Come on people!

So without further ado, let us start things off with some discussion about an upcoming holiday that either conjures up thoughts of sweet loving or induces cold sweats, skin breakouts, and many sleepless nights. What’s that you say?! It’s almost Valentine’s Day! Mr. Cheap Stuff has a great list of the Top 5 Valentine’s Day gifts for all of you who are smitten with a tech geek—his words, not mine.

The Ultimate-Engagement-Ring-Guide gives some tips on landing some nice blingy blingy (for when you pop the big question) without having to live on ramen and crackers for a month. And for those of you who aren’t ready to take the leap, you are not alone. Read what 625 men we surveyed about finding the right gifts for their sweethearts had to say here.

Madeleine at Mad Kane attempts to provide some guidance to planning a romantic evening for your special someone instead of that debacle you managed to put together last year. Just remember, Get Well Soon cards (since all the Valentine’s cards were wiped out), plastic jewelry with missing rhinestones, and Valentine themed clothing you picked up at the local Quikemart does not a romantic night make.

Valentine’s Day aside, MissMalaprop introduces some amazing Etsy fashion designers. Now if I could only figure out how to stop gluing my fingers together. . .

Finally, Stingy Student has devised an ingenuous way to get 2 free CDS and $11 in your pocket. Free CDs and $11—how can you say no?!

Alright folks, till next time!

XOXO

Jill
