Welcome to the 12th Carnival of Shopping! There’s a pretty wide variety of blog entries for you today, so have at’em.
I absolutely love furniture that’s a bit different from the norm. The Alternative Consumer seems to as well, as blogger RD discovered a designer who transforms old dingy looking barrels into something that’ll give your dwelling that unique, industrial touch that would make Oscar the Grouch feel at home. Isn’t recycling fun?
Continuing the theme of thinking green is BuyOrganic’s entry detailing a natural cosmetic brand covering a wide range of products sure to make those with the most sensitive of skin quite happy. Really now, I don’t know what jojoba oil is, but I’m sure it’s going to make my Slip-n-Slide adventures all the more enjoyable.
Tra La La has been pretty busy lately. You’ll find a great rundown on Marc Jacobs handbags as well as a style guide covering outfits worn by Lauren Conrad of The Hills. Lastly, you’ll find an Active Endeavors 20% off coupon code for the taking, so act fast!
I’m all about saving money while traveling, which is why I’m pleased as punch that FIRE Finance chose to share this handy, if somewhat involved, Northwest Airlines coupon.
Creditcardlowdown.com has a nice list of the top 10 most expensive restaurants, all of which are sure to make my wallet squirm and produce various uncomfortable wallety noises. Of course, in the interest of balance, it is only fair that a Sean student friendly list is included. Therefore, be sure to check out CampusGrotto’s Top 10 Cheap Foods/Drinks for the College Student. (Love to the Costco dog!)
Ahh, credit cards. They can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Regardless, they’re quite necessary, so you may as well know how to deal with them. WBL has compiled a number of tips that’ll help you improve your credit score, and Frugalist offers a delectable plate containing 27 creative ways to give your credit card the ending it deserves. Personally, I’m fond of #20: feeding it to my man-eating plant. Seymour doesn’t like that approach.
MyNewShinyShoes.com sheds some light on the sometimes confusing process of returning items purchased from online stores, and Investmentloans.net offers some helpful “clearing sale” auction oriented tips so you’ll get what you want without spending more than you need.
On a more serious note, Debtconsolidationlowdown.com has an informative entry offering suggestions for those who may struggle with excessive shopping.
That’s it for now!
