You know with Comic-Con International coming up, and two of us here at Pocket Change taking a trip down there to enjoy the nerdy goodness, it makes me think that our submitters here on the Carnival of shopping are very similar to super heroes. I wouldn’t call them the tight wearing, web crawling, or awesome claws shooting out of their hands type of super heroes, but they do stand for Truth, Justice, and the Shopping way. Let me show you what I mean:
Meet Edith Yeung. She has the power of super organizational skills. Some say that her closet is superhumanly clean. She tells us how she does it, and gives us some advice on when to finally say “good bye” to all that junk that’s piling up.
Consider the case of Kelli Grant. She has the power to make old things that have been lost magically reappear (by buying a new one) even if they can’t be found in any store!. Over at The Authentic Bartender blog she tells us how!
Wonder at Tracy Coenen. She has the power to find shows with Chris Hansen that aren’t “To Catch a predator.” Witness her amazing identity protection powers as she tells what this Dateline NBC report found about credit card and identity fraud.
Be amazed at Stephanie. She has the power to predict what days she will save money on groceries. She even tells us how to do it! . She also has the power to choose the right time to shop for summer, and she says its right now!
Witness the jaw dropping exploits of Vause as he buys a Van at a Government Auction! . Watch him make sure that everything is in working order. Observe as he gets the best price and goes home happy.
Go wild as you watch The Happy Rock with the power to be… Well, a rock with emotions… But it can also talk! Today it warns us about Credit cards and the real cost were are paying when we make those purchases.
Be shocked by Shannon Christman’s powerful super perception. She has power to watch the scanner at the super market to see if the price is too high or too low. Apparently the this also gives her the power to get items for free, or for substantial discounts.
Watch as Millionaire Mommy save money on travel expenses. Read her 10 amazing tips on how to do it too.
Become a super gift giver with the Men’s Gift Guide. Let it give you the power to find a good gift for that guy in your life by following 10 simple rules!
Robots that turn into cars and back into robots are cool, but money that turns into more money is even better. KCLau has the power to do just that, and gives us a list of how the Transformers movie shows us some ways that it works.
There are some pretty nifty powers in that bunch, and there were many more this week that couldn’t make it into this super team. Perhaps the shopping Carnival is like that show Heroes, more people with shopping powers are awakening every day.
Oh well,
EXCELCIOR!
Kris
