Happy Veterans Day!

Happy Veterans Day! Today we honor and celebrate all the military veterans who have served our country. While Veterans Day sales may be the first to come to mind, Veterans Day has quite a bit of history to it.

First observed in 1919 to commemorate the anniversary of Armistice Day, when a peace treaty was signed into effect between the Allies and German forces on November 11, 1918 at 11 o’clock, thus ending World War I.  It was later changed to honor all veterans of WWI, WWII and the Korean War in 1954 by President Eisenhower. So whether you’re attending a Veterans Day parade, feeling patriotic, relaxing on a day off from work, or shopping the Veterans Day sales for an army jersey, enjoy your Veterans Day!
