Plasma TVs are televisions that contain millions of tiny cells full of inert gases. Electricity is used to temporarily turn these gases into plasma, which creates a picture. One of the advantage of Plasma TVs over LCD TVs is that Plasma TVs have a wider angle of viewing over LCD TVS, meaning you can look at a Plasma TV from an angle and still see a bright picture, whereas LCD TVs you generally need to look straight at them for optimal viewing. They also generally have a darker “black” then LCD TVs, because they have a higher contrast ratio. On the other hand, Plasma TVs use more power than LCD TVs of the same size, about as much as old-school CRT TVs.
