Maui and Kaui are both great beach destinations with glorious weather and lots to do in the water and on the beach. Many trips go out to the ocean and have snorkeling expeditions. If you are a runner, you can time your trip around the Maui marathon that takes place in September each year. This year it is on September 20th. It is a magical experience running on the coast and close to the finish through the streets of Lahaina, where store owners stand outside with water hoses spraying water too cool off the runners. Just be sure not to get your shoes wet because the heat of the road can cause sores if you have wet shoes and socks. The course ends in the Whaler’s village at Kaanapali. Plan your trip soon and don’t forget to pack the latest swimwear and swim skirts for this season.
