Throughout my childhood I have had only 2 sets of bedding that actually survived the trillions of washings and my constant style changes. If you are looking for girls bedding sets that will outlast the constant wear and tear for over five years – here are a two suggestions when making your final selection.
Bedding Material- If you are looking at bedding that is mostly cotton, beware that the bedding might shrink and not fit as well as when you first bought it. Keep this in mind if your girl has a pillow top mattress and the bedding was not designed for a deep mattress. If you select more synthetic materials such as lycra or polyester, they have a tendency of keeping heat in and might make sleeping in summer very sweaty.
Bedding Pattern- When deciding between character bedding versus non-character bedding, plan on non-character bedding staying in style a lot longer. For example, if Princess Barbie is on the top of her wish list this year, the following year High School Musical might be more her style. To prevent style changes, try sticking with bedding sets that have solid colors or have simple designs such as polka-dots, argyle and paisley prints.
Suggested Girl Bedding Sets:
- polka-dot bedding sets
- argyle bedding sets
- paisley bedding sets
- Dora the Explorer bedding sets
- Princess Barbie bedding sets
- Hannah Montana bedding sets
- High School Musical bedding sets
I hope these suggestions help when looking for girls bedding sets that will be adored for years to come. Remember, when the time comes to get a new bedding set Goodwill would love your old treasures.
Happy dreams!
