Medicine Ball

Set of 3 medicine balls

I was at my gym yesterday eager to wear my cute brand new nike workout shirt (I couldn’t wait to wear it), when suddenly our teacher pulls out a brand new torture instrument, a ball, more precisely, a medicine ball. I realize, that a medicine ball seems pretty like a relatively harmless fitness accessory but the workout that you get from this product is simply amazing! It gives you that extra external resistance necessary to challenge your body to get maximum results whilst making exercise much more fun.

Typically used for rehabilitation exercises, medicine balls are heavy balls that range from 2 to 25 lbs and are approximately the size of a basketball. You can use them to intensify your abs exercise reps and more quickly achieve those six packs abs that you have been after for the upcoming summer.

Unlike most oversized fitness equipment that you find in gyms, you can have your very own medicine balls for quick and convenient exercise sessions in the comfort of your own home.

Here is a quick exercise for you that allow you to work your legs, shoulders, abs and abdominal core simultaneously!

Begin in a lunge position with your right foot forward with your knee leaning over your ankle while being sure to keep your left food behind you, heels up and knee pointing toward floor. Hold the medicine ball with both hands close to the side of your left hip. As you straighten your legs out of the lunge position, lift your medicine ball diagonally until it is overhead. Lunge again, this time bringing the medicine ball to the right hip. Repeat this same procedure for the other side as well for a quick and effective workout!
