Camping is a great experience all around. If you are traveling, but you ‘re young and broke, or just want to experience something different while getting close to nature, you should think about camping.
Even if you are completely new to camping, it’s really easy to get started once you have made you checklist to get
proper equipment.
The first thing you are going to need is a tent, then of course a sleeping bag and some basic cooking equipment such as a cooler, a BBQ grill and a bag of charcoal.
When considering the purchase of your tent, think about which kind of weather are you going to encounter; it has to be adequately warm, sturdy, and be equipped to handle the terrain whether you are camping at the beach, or high in the mountains.
When selecting your sleeping bag, you should also get an inflatable pad to insert between your sleeping bag and the ground, especially if you care about your night time rest. Also, don’t forget to bring a comfortable pillow!
If you are planning on staying longer then a weekend, maybe it makes sense to invest in a propane stove, along with special camping skillets and a few pots.
