The great thing about living in the San Francisco Bay Area is the vast number of places for hiking. There are tons of natural habitats like beaches, oak woodlands, redwood forests, coastal scrubs or oak savannas. One of my favorite places to go and take a walk or hike is definitely Muir Woods.

When I think about going into the woods for a day, the most important hiking equipment that comes to my mind is a good pair of shoes.
