Do you know the meaning of the word bolero? Bolero is a name given to a certain slow, romantic Latin music and it’s associated with dance and song which was originated in Cuba and Spain. With time, ladies Bolero were named after the romantic Latin music. Boleros are also known as short sweaters or cardigans that you would wear over an evening dress. If you think about it, it kind of ties back to its original meaning. When you picture a bolero over an evening dress, it looks romantic. Just like there is romantic music, there is also romantic clothes.
There are also fashionable boleros that you can wear over a tank top with jeans. This style looks more casual but still romantic. For example the short-sleeve pointelle bolero in gray has a lacey pointelle pattern with cap sleeves.
I personally like wearing boleros as a light sweater whenever I go out. They are so efficient because they are light and perfect to wear during spring and summer when it gets chili. These boleros are also popular to wear over sundresses like the floral painted dress with bolero. Boleros seemed to be almost like an accessory that you can match with almost everything in your wardrobe!
