Airplane Size Perfume

lolita lempicka perfume 1ozMillions of Americans take to the skies for travel every year. For students and professionals alike, everyone has to adhere to the 3-1-1 rule for carry-on luggage enforced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The rule states that anyone wanting to carry on liquids, such as perfumes or lotions, must follow these guidelines:

  • 3.4 ounces by volume of liquid per container
  • 1 quart sized zip-top bag filled with liquid containers
  • 1 bag per passenger is the only allotment

What this means for people with only carry-on luggage who want to smell their best at their final destination, is that miniature perfume bottles should be purchased. Short of dousing yourself with enough perfume to last the ten hour flight and making everyone on the plane, along with yourself, sick, you can pack a few perfumes in your carry-on for a quick refreshing spritz when you arrive at your final destination.

Here is a list of carry-on approved perfumes that you can compare prices on Become.com:

For your favorite perfumes that contain more than 3.4 fluid ounces, you can still bring them by packing them in your checked luggage. Due to unregulated changes in pressure within the storage cabin, it is best practice to place all perfumes and other liquids in one or two zip-top plastic bags. That way, in the rare case that a perfume bottle leaks, all of your clothes will be dry and perfume free.
