There’s nothing like changing into a nice, comfortable set of pajamas before heading off to bed, and sheeting pants make some of the best pajama pants out there.

Sheeting pants, for those who aren’t familiar with the term (I know I wasn’t) is a name given to a general category of soft pants, that usually have an elastic band and are made from soft materials such as polyester and cotton. Sheeting pants are very similar to sweat pants, but have less of an athletic connotation, with more focus on warmth and comfort, although many sheeting pants come with pockets, so there is a little bit of utility to them as well.

Here are some of the advantages of using sheeting pants over typical pajamas:

• 

  Comfort – Like John wrote about in his post The Comfort of Sheeting Pants, sheeting pants are very soft and comfortable because they’re made from cotton and polyester, rather than the thin and scratchy material that many pajamas are made from, helping to get a better night’s rest.

• Warmth – Sheeting pants are usually made from a thicker material than most pajamas, which means they help you keep warm, even on a cold night. This might not be so great if you live in warmer climes, but if you often find yourself feeling cold at night, sheeting pants are a great way to stay warm and toasty.
• Pockets – Unlike most pajama pants, sheeting pants come with pockets, which makes them a little more convenient. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been caught wearing pajamas, and wishing I had pockets. Sheeting pants will ensure that you’re never caught pocket-less again.

Those are just a few of the advantages that sheeting pants have over regular PJs. Hopefully, not that you know about the benefits of sheeting pants, you’ll look for a pair the next time you’re shopping for pajamas, and experience their softness and comfort for yourself, and enjoy a good night’s sleep.
