Having Pet Partys and Birthday Partys for the family pet is becoming more and more prominent. When a pet is a valued family member, many parents throw their pets a party with animal friendly cakes, games and real, take home doggy-bags for all the friends. If you were invited to one of these lovely celebrations, you must not come empty handed. So here is a list compiled of the top 10 pet gifts to help you choose the birthday pet’s perfect present.
- Pet treats are loved by all. Regardless of what type of pet party you are going to, there are treats made especially for that animal. For an added bonus, try buying treats that are handmade, organic or raw.
- The “Cool Pet House” is a bit pricey but is a fully insulated luxury living space for any pet under 25 lbs. With modern day conveniences such as an air conditioner, heater, humidifier dehumidifier, exhaust fan and and even an online surveillance camera – this shelter keeps small pets comfortable when the elements are extreme.
A car seat is a thoughtful gift that will allow the pet to travel in the car in safety and comfort. For those shorter animals, try to get a car booster seat that gives the pet the added height to look out the window.- A harness & leash is always a welcome gift, if it has the pet in mind. The four legged animals and parents prefer a harness over a collar for more control while walking or safer grazing outdoors.
- Grooming tools and supplies are always a treat. Whether it be conditioning shampoos, a fancy deshedding brush or pet clippers, the pet will surely like an in-home spa treatment.
- A fur remover for the birthday pet’s parent to use around the house, is a great gift. Some lint removers don’t work as well as the clingy rubber nubs of the Scotch Hair Remover.
- A travel bag is a great gift for the traveling pet that visits the local daycare every week, or travels across the state to see grandma once a year. To select the best travel tote, be sure to know the pet’s weight for the perfect fit.
Fancy stuff like a flashy ID tag, a gps pet collar, a dog breed DNA identification kit, a personalized feeding dish, or even some artwork for the pet’s den are sure to wow the parents.- Toys are fun gifts but are sometimes a bust. Some pets are picky and only use their favorite toys, so be sure to give a receipt with the toy. But if you insist, try a toy similar to one the pet already has, or one that stores treats in it and helps the animal work on concentration.
- Clothes for the season the party is held, is preferred. So if the party is in the summer I suggests paw mittens to protect themselves from the hot pavement or a raincoat during the rainy season.
