There are many fashion accessories and clothes out there that can actually be made in your own home. If you are experienced in crocheting or knitting there are a handful of tops, skirts, swimsuits and even footwear that you can replicate. Access Fashion is a blog online that provides the crocheter, knitter, and crafter with tips and ideas for trendy wearable products. I especially like how Jillian posts links to free patterns and reviews crafting books, so you know exactly what works. The color pictures and a large following of other crafters will help you get the inspiration or help you need to get that project done.
For those of us who are less yarn and hook savvy, we can actually buy machine made clothes that share the same style that handmade products have. I found some very cute swimsuits and cardigans online that have the same look as crochet. I guess looking for crocheted clothes online can also serve a crafter with even more inspiration.
