It’s safe to say that everyone wears a different shoe depending on the activity they’re participating in. Most people who go to the gym don’t wear the very same shoe to go to a club or movie. There could be many reasons why this is the case, but I believe the biggest conflict involves style. Dirty gym shoes simply don’t go well with a nice pair of dark jeans or slacks for a night out. However, one interesting observation I’ve noticed is that most skate shoes are not only appropriate for a skate session in the park, but go well with an actual outfit to go to dinner or explore the city.
During my high school years, a bigĀ fashion trend that caught on were skate shoes. Even if you weren’t a skater, you just had to have them because of their unique look and comfort. DC shoes have always been a good skate shoe, but with the rising popularity of former skater/DC shoes and clothing poster boy, Rob Dyrdek , DC has been making big waves lately. The DC Versatile shoe is a nice stylish shoes for casual outings, but can also be worn to get in some good kick-flips while on your skateboard. Its gum rubber bottom provides great traction for a nice grip on your skateboard and is also constructed of high-quality, lightweight leather for great durability.
Another DC shoe that is stylish enough to wear off of a skateboard is the DC Pure 2 Skate shoe. It’s constructed of leather and suede and has a nice sticky rubber sole for great grip. Wear it to the park with other fellow skaters or to a screening of the latest movie release.
Whether you are shopping for a shoe for the park or for other casual adventures that doesn’t include scraped arms and a board, DC shoes should definitely be at the top of your list.
