I remember when I got my first hair tool. It was a pink hair crimping iron that my best friend’s sister gave me. It eventually broke and had to be tossed out almost 10 years ago. Just the other day, I was looking for a new hair crimper online and found a blog post about another girls’ hair crimping experience. Seems I was not the only one who was displeased with the quality.
On this Cosmetic Candy blog, the blogger wrote about a BaByliss 4-in-1 hair tool she used when she was younger. Her crimper was a lot more exciting than mine, with its different attachment plates to make tight crimps, loose crimps, waves and totally straight hair. Her complaint was of the plates taking too long to heat up. But as a kid, we were probably more impatient then we are now, so I looked into newer BaByliss tools.
Reading more on my future hair crimper, the Cosmetic Candy blogger noted the price for hers was about $26. Even if I wanted, I couldn’t buy each tool individually, and have it be at such a low price! What a good deal. Even though I would have to overlook the time it took the BaByliss replaceable plates to heat, I think saving the money is worth it. Moreover, if you are also in the market for a single hair crimping iron, the BaByliss makes good quality ceramic plated crimpers that heat a lot quicker than, the interchangeable older ones as blogged about.
Did you have a hair styling tool as a girl and think you would never use it again? Tell me what tool it was and how you might bring that style back into the future.
