My friend just returned home from a trip to Hawaii and has spent the last week making a scrapbook of her photos. While sharing some of her favorite shots, I couldn’t help but comment on the quality and clarity of the pictures. She proudly showed me the new camera
she purchased before her vacation, which was the Canon SX110 IS 9.0-Megapixel Digital Camera from the popular PowerShot line. She isn’t much of a professional photographer, but she assured me it was the easiest camera to use, and her pictures look amazing, so she instantly had me interested.
I normally love Canon digital cameras for their usability and quality, and the SX110 is no exception. It has a 10x optical zoom lens that still creates a clear picture from afar, which helped my friend get some great shots of the views from her hotel room. It has the usual Canon technologies such as Advanced Face Detection which automatically identifies and optimizes for faces, and the Optical Image Stabilizer which senses and accounts for a shaky camera, creating a steadier image. I was surprised at how well these made the pictures of her family on a moving boat turn out.
The camera was easy to travel with too, as it has a slim design and uses AA batteries which are easy to find anywhere. It comes in both black and silver, both providing a professional appearance that looks just as great as the photos it takes! The 3 inch LCD screen is large and bright, so she could even show me a few pictures directly on the camera. I played with a few of the controls and found them easy to use, and also discovered the many shooting modes that allow you to choose the right exposure for your situation.
Next time I go on a vacation, I don’t want to leave home without the Canon SX110 IS 9.0-Megapixel Digital Camera. My friend was only gone a week, but she gets to relive her trip with vivid quality for years to come!
