Time speeds with the Casio Solar Atomic G-Shock Watch

My nephew, Nicky, was very tense. This was very surprising. Nicky has a well-rounded personality. He always gets straight A’s, is part of the school’s track and field team, and is very popular amongst his peers. He has a cool temperament and rarely loses his composure.

On seeing him agitated, I inquired about the cause.  Nicky said that a new boy, who had joined the school, was an extremely good athlete. Nicky was concerned that he might not get selected to represent his school for the 100m sprint at the track and field meet this time. Nicky was usually very competitive and did not concede defeat easily. I was surprised at his reaction. Upon further coaxing, he revealed that the new boy had several records under his belt. Nicky felt that he could not match up to him. I didn’t want Nicky to give up so easily so I discussed the matter with his mother. We came up with a plan. Thereafter Nicky’s mother gave him a pep talk and persuaded him to train for the selections. Nicky’s coach agreed to train him. And when new running shoes, new active wear and gear were not enough to motivate him, we had to think of something else…casio-solar-g-shockNicky’s mother gifted him with a Casio Mission Impossible III G-Shock – Atomic Timekeeping – Solar Powered Watch to help Nicky check his speeds during training. The watch has a time recorder with a memory capacity of 30 records. It has a 1/100 second stopwatch that could measure in three modes; elapsed time, split time and 1st-2nd place times. The stylish watch is shock resistant, water resistant, has atomic timekeeping and tough solar power. The G-shock watches are ideal for sports as they are weatherproof, ice and heat resistant and look sleek on the tracks. And the solar powered watch will always keep time as long as there is sun!

For the next three months Nicky trained very hard. To give him credit, he continued to get good grades. Finally, after the day of the selections, he called me to say that both he and the other boy had been selected for the 100 m sprint.
