Infant cradles “rock” baby to sleep

Like all new parents, I wanted my baby to have the best of everything – the most comfy and cute clothes, age-appropriate toys, and the most comfortable and safe baby furniture. I had already bought the baby clothes. The toys could wait till she was more responsive, say about, one month old. I had decided that initially Nina would share the bed with us. However, I soon realized that the infant cradle was one purchase that I couldn’t put off. Nina always wanted to be on the move. She hated lying still for long. She always cried to be picked up and carried around. She even had to be rocked to sleep in my arms every time she woke up at night- that was about once every 90 minutes! This was taking a toll on my health. One thing was for sure, Nina did not have motion-sickness!bratt-decor-chelsea-cradle

My husband and I realized that an infant cradle would at least reduce the strain at bedtimes. Nina obviously deserved the very best cradle that we could afford, so we started researching on which cradle to buy. That was when we realized the numerous choices that were available to us. We could choose from the sturdy, wooden cradle from brands like Da Vinci, Sorelle or L A Baby. We also had the option of more stylish cradles with metallic finishes from Bratt Décor or fancy high-end cradles from Little Miss Liberty. After weighing all the options, we finally decided to buy the Bratt Decor Chelsea Cradle in Antique Silver finish. This solid hardwood & MDF cradle with beautiful detailing on its side, was the unanimous choice. It also has an anti-rock locking system to hold it stationery.  We haven’t regretted the decision so far. On the contrary, the cradle’s been a blessing in disguise as Nina now goes to sleep faster and for longer.
