NY Fashion Week 2009 Update
New York Fashion week 2009 is really shaping up!
Anna Sui- With her recent Target line launch, the fashion world is abuzz about Anna Sui. Her spring line showcased at Fashion Week didn’t disappoint. Blacks, whites, purples, and bright patterns filled the catwalk in a spectacular collection that included military style jackets, boho-chic dresses and vests. Her eclectic collection has something for everyone.
Tory Burch- Always practical and never disappointing, Tory Burch debuted her Spring collection on Wednesday at Fashion Week. The Collection was filled with practical, wearable pieces such as cuffed skinny cropped pants and basic skirts. Many of her looks were completed with accessories of Native American or tribal influence, such as high-heeled moccasins, a departure from her already known preppy influences. Her show was a mix of conservative, preppy and boho-chic. Be sure to look for her collection in the Spring!
Nanette Lepore- Always a favorite of mine, Nanette Lepore showed off her Spring collection on Wednesday. She presented a mixed collection of khakis, creamy yellows and blues, and turquoise. The noticeably towering open-toed wedges completed the simple ensembles. Along with the classic khaki shorts the collection was balanced with silk feminine dresses with cascading ruffles.
