On a nice summery day, what can one want more than to wear a jersey beach dress and stroll down the beach? You may say swimming is a better option. However, as I am not particularly fond of swimming, I prefer strolling on the beach!
I particularly love walking with my one and a half year old daughter Nina. She never tires
of running amok on the sand. When she’s out of breath, she’ll stand and stare at the sea, and at the other beach goers for a while and then resume running again. Maybe she’ll become a sprinter some day!
One of my favorite beach dresses is a cool, comfy, elegant sleeveless Eileen-Fisher black tank dress with fluid lines and a scooped neckline. The hem of the organic cotton and lycra dress, is sheathed with Organic Cotton Voile. Enhancing the look of the dress is the pucker stitching. It serves a dual purpose as I can wear it either to the beach or on casual outings.

Seashore Smocked Summer Dress in pink. I don’t know whether it is the comfortable soft jersey fabric she loves, the dolphin print on the dress or the pink color. Nevertheless this is one of the dresses she doesn’t mind changing into. This pretty pink smocked top is made of 100% cotton, is stretchable and has adorable cap sleeves.
Another jersey beach dress that I love is a chic short-sleeved empire dress from J C Crew. Made from viscose jersey, this dress has a fitted bodice and a flared skirt, the hem of which is slightly above the knee. It has a V-neck with pleats at the center. This dress has been designed to flatter one’s figure and I do love the way I look in it!
Jersey beach dresses are really comfy and ideal to wear on a summery day!
