A small dog car seat for a safe & enjoyable ride
Two weeks back, my niece took a small abandoned Yorkshire terrier puppy back home. After a lot of coaxing her mommy, Ria, finally agreed to let her keep the dog. He’s been christened Terry and is extremely sprightly, intelligent and a joy to be with. My children insisted that we should buy Terry a Christmas gift too. After a lot of thought, we decided that we would buy Terry a small dog car seat.

Terry is an inquisitive little pup who loves traveling in a car. However, he is quite fidgety if he can not look outside. This of course, would be distracting to Ria when she is driving. It would also be dangerous for Terry to travel unrestrained so a booster car seat seemed to be the perfect solution. We had already picked out four possible booster seats for Terry.
The first is the Black Outward HoundTM Car Booster Seat. This car seat can be attached to the headrest and around the front car seat with adjustable straps. It also features an adjustable safety harness to be attached to the dog’s collar and three storage pockets.
The Lookout Type 1 was the second one that we liked. This patented booster seat has a soft and cushy faux lambswool interior. It is made from tough, shock-absorbing polyurethane foam and has an integral safety strap.
We were not sure if Ria would prefer to have Terry seated at the console and have the front passenger seat free for a human passenger! If so, the Console Car Seat was an option that we were considering. It fastens the car seat to the console of the car while a safety harness safely secures the dog.
The last car seat was the ultimate in poochie luxury- a Small Charcoal/Bone Heated Dog Booster Seat! The car seat has a 12-volt adapter that plugs into the car’s outlet and warms the car seat in minutes. So your little pet will be all snug and warm during his or her drive, while a safety tether keeps him or her secured.
After discussing Terry’s needs and preferences with Ria, we decided to go with the last car seat choice. Hopefully it will make Terry extra merry this Christmas!
