Here’s a puzzle for all fashionistas- if you wanted to buy a coat that you can wear through the year, in any season, and still look cool and fashionable, what would you buy? When my friend put this question to me, I pondered over it and finally arrived at a solution- an all weather black trench coat! Neither a trench coat nor the color black ever goes out of style. Slight changes in the dress that you wear the trench coat with, will keep you looking stylish and hip through all seasons.

Let me illustrate. Take an all weather black trench coat, for example, the Michael Kors black cotton-poly hooded trench coat. This classic coat is made of mid-weight cotton-poly exterior. It features a spread collar, a front button closure, dual angled pockets, a belted waist, and a button-removable drawstring hood. During fall, wear the coat with loose fitting pants and tops. Come winter, pair it up with skinny jeans and boots. Remove the woolen blend liner during spring and team it up with a full floral flowy feminine skirt. Finally in summer, simply wear it as a dress with contrasting belt and coordinating pair of heels.

Alternatively you could go for a short black trench coat like the Ellen Tracy Hooded Trench.
