Next up in the world of “Jersey Shore”
If you’ve been reliving the best and brightest moments from the first season of “Jersey Shore,” you’re probably also looking forward to the next season of MTV’s break out hit. Or maybe you’re just really bored.
Fist pumping, GTL, Ed Hardy hoodie and hair gel galore – love it or hate it, the show must go on. Read on for more details.
Next up for your favorite group of self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes? Season two will feature the entire cast – including first season ex-pat Angelina “Jolie” Pivarnick – as they’re imported and adjusting to life on yet another shore: Miami. The next season premieres July 29 on MTV.
Viewers can only expect what sort of antics that the original cast will bring to South Beach, and later to come, MTV is will also bring in “Wicked Summer.” The Boston-based spin-off will feature “the hottest girls and proudly buff guys from Massachusetts who believe in God, family, politics, sports, beer and partying,” said a casting director. An open casting call was held in April and filming will begin in the middle of July.
Since its premiere last December, “Jersey Shore” has spawned a slew of parodies, and there have been a ton of actual “Shore” spin-offs pitched as well. There have been casting calls for shows such as the southern-tinged “Redneck Riviera,” a show about Russian-Americans in Brooklyn called “Brighton Beach,” and even a show centered on Jewish American Princesses titled“Super Jappy.” Oh dear.
