Best of the Web: Style blogs of the week No. 3
Need some time to cool off? Take some much needed R & R (Rest and Relaxation), and spend a few summer hours chilling out with our favorite blogs this week.
In the realm of fashion blogs, which can be a dime-a-dozen, ones targeting men’s fashion and trends are infrequent. We’re Worth it Too (WWIT) is an online magazine and blog dedicated to menswear style for young adults. Editor Dennis Lye started WWIT because of the lack of attention to menswear in the fashion world. Instead of accepting this fact, Lye started WWIT to give young, style conscious men a resource for their interests.
Another great style guide for all men is Style for Guys. Even those who are not as fashion savy can get into this blog. Instead of focusing on personal style or general fashion news, Style For Guys creates stories that are funny and original while still offering the latest styles and trends for men. Style For Guys is an online style guide and look book where men can go to enjoy a good read while learning about the latest styles.
So F-cking Me is a great resource for men’s street style and fashion commentary. Blogger J. Luis’ stylish self portraits are one’s to take notice of. We love his style that borders both edgy and prep. But fashion isn’t his only source of content, this blog is a hodgepodge of inspiring photos, videos and drawings.
If you are looking for inspiration on the other side of the gender spectrum you have Butterfly Cupcakes and Daffodils. This blog is a way to organize this Australian art student’s thoughts on the little things in life that she loves. Her creativity manifests itself to readers by posting daily outfits, art and photography.
Looking for creativity of the fashion kind? Find a mish-mash of high-fashion editorial and runway photos at the always current Circa Now. There you can catch a glimpse of model editorial shots, designer profiles and the latest runway collections. This is a definite go-to for the latest summer and fall trends.
