 Bohemian clothing

If you thought that bohemian chic means to dress like a hippie with unkempt hair and clothes that scream “flower power”, you are partially right, only partially! Essentially the term means showing a strong streak of personal style, wearing what you believe reflects your persona and flatters your body structure. Layering, wearing vibrant clothes that do not necessarily match, lots of accessories such as bangles, headbands, layered necklaces, wide belts, fringed bags and oversized sunglasses all form a part of bohemian clothing.

You can be boho chic in a peasant girl sort of way or you could dress in a boho rockstar manner, or sport a trendy elegant bohemian look. Choose your bohemian chic style!Boho peasant top
-For a peasant girl look, pair a flowing skirt with a fitted embroidered boho peasant top. Accessorize with long necklaces, danglers, a pretty headband and sandals.
-For a rocker look, you could wear a romper or a short skirt with a plaid top, oversized sunglasses and boots. Add metallic elements to your ensemble, for example, you could carry a large metallic bag and metal bangles.

Boho dress
-For a city slick boho look, consider wearing leggings with a short boho dress. Accessorize with ankle boots and a beret.
- If you prefer the grunge look, wear a micro mini with a chambray shirt tucked in. Complete the ensemble with a pair of leggings, a jacket and knee high boots.

These were just some ideas to get you started on your bohemian chic look this season. Experiment with your clothes and you’ll soon realize which look suits you the best.
