Throw your own travel-themed party

I’m Bunny from The Paris House Designs and I am thrilled to be guest blogging today on Be@Home. My life and passion revolve around my family and living a beautiful, creative and stylish life. Travel is where I get much of my inspiration for projects and parties, and today I’ll be talking mostly about Venice, Italy—one of my favorite places in the world.
You can check out more detailed “The World Is My Playground” workshops on my blog, but here’s a preview of things to keep in mind when you plan a travel-themed party:
1) Think about what to do in the destination you’ve chosen. For example, consider where to shop when you are there, what to do, points of interest, off the beaten path must –sees and where to find antiques to bring back home.
2) Think about what there is to eat. Any delicious pasta dishes or seasonal wines?
For example, if I were going to throw a true “Venetian Affair,” I would consider the sites, my purchases and what I ate and drank while there.
Throwing a travel themed party is a great way to share your fun travel experience with your friends and family, and it helps you keep your trip fresh in your mind. I’m confident that all your friends and family will be very impressed by your cultured style and they will be thrilled to be able to enjoy a party designed around your unique travel experiences.
I’m also interested in travel ideas for children, as well as travel fashion—it is possible to pack in your favorite outfits and still leave room for souvenirs! Don’t miss those sections on my website. I especially encourage you to think about the “statement piece” of your outfits—great for traveling at reduced wardrobe capacity. I designed one myself, “The Earth Mother Birthstone Ring,” with the birthstones of my children in it. I love wearing it just as much to the Farmers Market during the day as out for cocktails in the evening. It’s been worn by several Hollywood actresses, and you can design your own through my site.
No matter where you are headed on vacation or what you are doing, visit my blog and get help planning a wonderfully stylish destination and life.
