Fifteenth annual Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival
Chocolate lovers be warned, you might end up leaving your hearts in San Francisco after attending Gihiardelli’s 15th annual Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival. Indulge your taste buds and satisfy your chocolate craving Sept. 11 and 12 from 12:00-5:00 pm; expect to enjoy some of Gihiardelli’s famous Ghirardelli chocolate squares while you sip on wine from local vineyards, and enjoy live music and a plethora of family-friendly activities.
Festival attendees can indulge in abundant amounts of chocolate from artisan chocolatiers that will set up sampling booths throughout San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Square. An estimated 35 restaurants and chocolate vendors will participate in the street festival, showcasing desserts and designer confections made of—or featuring—chocolate.
The festival is free, but if you want to treat your sweet tooth to some chocolate covered fruit or Ghirardelli hot chocolate, tastings will run you $20 for 15 samples. Tickets may be purchased in advance online or on the day of the event.
All the proceeds from the Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival will be donated to Project Open Hand, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco that provides meals and groceries to senior citizens and individuals with debilitating diseases.
