Keeping it bright and beautiful for fall
Whether you call it fall or autumn, it’s a beautiful season. The only trouble with autumn is that it’s followed by winter. Brrrr. The thought alone is enough to make you shiver. Keeping warm while staying fun and vibrant can be a struggle so here are a couple of tips on how to keep the winter blues out of your wardrobe:
Masquerade as a turning leaf
Replacing cool summer tones with warmer colors will get you in the mood for the season. One great thing about the cooling weather is that it brings room for layers! Start with some tangerine, mustard yellow or peach. Shake your stylish fist at the grey skies with some bold red accents. If you prefer your colors a little more muted, add some earthy brown or green layers instead. For a finishing touch, pin a little brooch on your collar or coat.
Keep your feet firmly on the ground
Last winter, I found myself rather unprepared sliding along the pavement in my wellies. I remedied my predicament with a pair of bright womens cowboy boots worthy of the Lone Ranger. While I was set on a cowboy cut, there is also a variety of gorgeous oxfords in beautiful brown tones this season to keep you steady. Look out for two tones, tassels and fringe detail. When things get a little too wildly colourful, grab a pair of neutral shoes to tone things down a notch. Slip on a cream or nude pair when donning your solid-colored tights.
Keeping your wardrobes bright and cosy is a real pick-me-up when the weather is everything but. So keep warm and cheerful this fall by wearing your own sunshine.
