Working out in the office
Lately, I’ve been finding it harder and harder to find time or motivation to head out to the gym or get some exercise, especially after a long day at work. Luckily, thanks to the development of desk exercise equipment, it’s become easier than ever to work out while at work, allowing people like me to kill two birds with one stone.
Cardio becomes easy with the Stamina InStride Cycle, which fits easily under the desk. I like to pretend I’m bicycling through some scenic fields in spring while I’m busy at work, my feet spinning away in the pedals. For the truly adventurous, pick up a Gaiam BalanceBall Chair and pretend that you’re unicycling. This chair works out the core muscles as you work and helps make sure you don’t develop back pain by enforcing healthy posture. It’s a lot easier than doing crunches while at work, probably a lot less embarrassing too.
However, if you’re truly blessed and have a full-fledged office, pick up a TrekDesk Treadmill Desk. It’s a fully-functional treadmill, with a desk on top. This is luxury right here. A perfect union of form and function, this contraption allows the busy executive to stay in shape while emailing shareholders, or whatever it is executives do. What more could you ask for?
