The people from Shielo were kind enough to send over some products for us to review: Hydrate moisturizing shampoo, Hydrate vibrancy conditioner, Bounce style crème, and an anti-aging complexion scrub.

First, let me just say that I’ve tried a lot of shampoos and conditioners. As I write this, there are 9 different shampoo and conditioner bottles lining my shower walls.

I’ve been coloring my hair for ten years now, and the damage seems irreversible. Having these fine, fragile, color-treated locks has sent me on a never-ending product search for the fairy godmother of shampoos and conditioners – one that will repair my hair and make it shinier and healthier while giving it more volume. And I know what you’re thinking: I’m searching for the impossible.

When reading the product description for Shielo’s Hydrate Vibrancy Conditioner it states that it will, “hydrate thirsty, color-treated hair with a blast of moisture.” Sounds good, but I still wasn’t convinced. “Deep-penetrating peptides strengthen hair damaged from color treatments or highlighting. Hydration replenishes the appearance of youthful hair, while vitamins and minerals are designed to seal the cuticle to lock in vibrancy.” It seemed too good to be true …

But it is true. The minute you work the hydrate conditioner through your hair, you can feel a difference. When using other conditioners, even while the product is in my hair, I can still feel the damaged cuticles. I would often apply handfuls of conditioner just to try and get the feeling of moisture back into my hair. With the hydrate conditioner my hair felt thicker and silkier as soon as I applied the product to my hair, but the best part was that it lasted even after I washed it out. After one use of the hydrate moisturizing shampoo and hydrate vibrancy conditioner, my naturally wavy hair dried with shine, more curl, and more volume. I’m hooked.

The Bounce style crème is a blend of moisturizers, proteins and thickening agents that are said to define hair while building volume and minimizing frizz. I’ve used it twice, applying it when I have wet hair, then using a blow dryer. It definitely adds curl, but what I like about this product is the flexible hold. It doesn’t leave your hair crunchy and stiff. The crème base leaves it soft and moveable so the curls stay in place but you can still run your fingers through your hair or use a hair brush.

The anti-aging complexion scrub is amazing. And it goes a long way. I just gently coated the tip of my index finger with the product, and it was enough to cover my entire face. The face scrub contains non-irritating jojoba micro-spheres that are said to safely and gently refine skin to a new clarity. The scrub also has Allantoin, which soothes the skin while reducing inflammation, and aloe vera juice, which has vitamins for skin health and renewed complexion.

After using the scrub 3 times, I can see a noticeable difference. My skin is smoother, there are no blemishes, and even my pores seem smaller. Best of all, this product is only $16.99 and if you’re using it only twice a week, it’s going to last forever.

So far, I have to say I’m impressed with Shielo’s products. So impressed that I just placed an order for more products to replace those samples. Check out Shielo.com to decide for yourself. And let me know what you think!
