Best of the Web no. 15
This week’s Best of the Web takes a different format, as we interview the bloggers of Crafts & Sutch and Food Floozie for their angle.
1. Food Floozie‘s Yenta Mary gives us the story behind the name and the blog.

I consider myself to be a “Food Floozie” because, as my blog states, I ”can be seduced by virtually any food (other than sushi).” Everything affiliated with cooking interests me, from culinary holidays to cherry pitters, from competitions to old-fashioned recipes, from preparing food at home to reading books about chefs… my blog runs the gamut. If it’s even tangentially food-related, it will find its way to a post!
I believe firmly that people bond over food, even in cyberspace. So whether I’m sharing a favorite recipe, telling about a fabulous meal at a restaurant, showcasing foods from different countries, or finding intriguing items at specialty shops, I hope that my readers are entertained, amused and educated. What I really strive for is to have anyone who comes to visit my site feel as though we’re in the kitchen together cooking and baking and eating… and, most importantly, building and enriching our friendship.
2. Erin of Crafts & Sutch on the synergy between crafting and blogging, the amazing-ness of sweater snowmen and the crafting syndrome.

How does blogging affect your crafting (if it does)?
Blogging definitely has a big affect on my crafting. I’m a procrastinator by nature, so blogging helps me to stay motivated to finish projects. Blogging has also ensured that my home is decorated for every season and holiday.
Before blogging, only decorated for the “big” ones.
What is your favorite thing you’ve ever made?
I love my sweater snowman! I think he is the cutest!
Got a favorite food?
I am a huge fan of food. I do not discriminate. I love it all, but if you are forcing me to choose, I could eat Mexican food any day of the week.
Anything else you’d like readers to know about?
I have unofficially been diagnosed with “I can make that” syndrome. It’s a real thing…I promise.
Really, take their word for it – and check ‘em out!
