Best of the Web: Style Blogs of the Week no. 31
Contrary to what you might be persuaded to believe from magazines, movies and TV, fashion is not just the domain of young childless model-types. Moms, kids and brides-to-be should definitely pay attention to the stylishness of this week’s blog picks: we’re featuring fashion and beauty blog “Babbling of a Mommy” and wedding blog “Every Last Detail.”
1. “Babblings of a Mommy” is a mom’s guide to a fashionable and stylish living,
featuring a wide range of topics that caters to women of all ages and backgrounds. Blog editor Jenny posts anything from the latest fashion trends and beauty secrets to the latest in children’s clothes and toys.

This Babbling Mommy tells us:
I know that being a mom hasn’t stopped my quench for fashion and style and I know that they’re plenty of women out there who feel the same. So, Babblings of a Mommy is where I like to let all of that out, and chat with my readers just like I would with my girlfriends about my latest beauty purchases, or whether I liked a celebrity’s look or not. Simply put, it’s a fun site about fashion, style, life, and kids.
2. “Every Last Detail blog” offers inspiration for planning the perfect wedding,
and is written from the interesting point of view of a recent bride and event professional. Lauren Grove of “Every Last Detail” gives us the scoop on her blog.

What’s the inspiration behind the blog?
I actually started in weddings because of my own bad experience with the planning of my wedding. I was the first of my friends to be married, and I didn’t have anyone to turn to to ask questions or advice. I had a wedding planner, but she basically sucked and she never really educated me about anything for my wedding – she just said, “This is what you should do” and never told me anything.
A few months after my wedding, I started a blog because I wanted to prevent other brides from making the same mistakes that I did. Shortly after that I took a wedding planning course to learn more about the ins and outs of wedding, and soon after was offered a job with an event design and decor company. Almost two years later, here I am with Every Last Detail, providing brides with inspiration and insight for planning their weddings!
I blog from my perspective as a former bride as well as a current wedding professional, which I think benefits both brides and other wedding professionals, spreading my knowledge and giving accurate advice.
What would you like your readers to gain from it?
I want my readers to be educated about the planning of their weddings and not have any looming questions about it. I want them to be able to enjoy their wedding day, and look back and not regret or want to change anything.
Anything else you’d like our readers to know?
I’m actually almost done with a redesign of “Every Last Detail,” and the final product will be launched in the next few days! It will have even more inspiration and insight for brides, as well as a very personal and informative vendor guide called “Every Last Vendor”!
