How to wear women’s cowboy boots
If you’ve ever asked yourself, “is there such a thing as cowboy chic?” I’m here to tell you there is.
If your hometown isn’t Tulsa, you may find this hard to believe, but women’s cowboy boots can pair with virtually any casual outfit. And you don’t even need to find a hoedown to wear them.
Try adding a pair of women’s cowboy boots the next time you run out the door in skinny denim jeans and a casual tunic for a day of running errands. The boots will add effortless style to your structured jeans and tee routine without requiring you to work the outfit around the boots. Instead, the boots are working for you. (You can even try pairing your women’s cowboy boots with leggings and a long shirt or a casual mini dress for a remix option.)
That cotton floral sundress you’ve been pleading with the sun gods to let you wear? Throw it on with a pair of women’s cowboy boots and a cardigan sweater. The boots add a fun and flirty splash to your typical sundress and the cardigan will be great if you want to transition the look into evening. Cowboy boots can even pair with a cute cotton LBD (little black dress) for a warm night on the town. (Don’t try pairing cowboy boots with evening wear. If the fabric is fancy, like satin, I’d say avoid cowboy boots, even if you live in Oklahoma.)
Pairing your cowboy boots with cut-off jean shorts, a plaid button up, a dusty cowboy hat and some pigtails would be great for a country concert during the summer, but you’ll want to avoid styling too much “country” into your ensemble if it’s not geared towards a concert, country bar or a Halloween costume. That doesn’t mean cut-off jean shorts have to be out of the picture. Try the boots with jeans shorts and a tucked in, ruffled blouse, for a look that’s country, but also feminine.
Once you’ve found your free-and-easy wardrobe pieces, integrating the cowboy boots will be simple. Slip them on with an outfit today and see how easy cowboy chic really is.
