3 ways to show your patriotic spirit on July 4th
July 4th is coming. Are you prepared to celebrate the holiday? If not, don’t worry! We’ve gathered some easy July 4th decorating ideas you can pull off in a pinch.
Decorate the front of your home
Don’t just display the American flag to show your July 4th spirit. Decorate all of your home for the July 4th holiday, including the front of the home. Hang a patriotic bunting set from your porch ceiling or deck porch. If you don’t have a porch or a deck, then a beautiful star-shaped wreath with red, white and blue accents hung on your door sets the right tone for celebrating the holiday.
Decorate the inside of your home.
Adorn the inside of your home with inspiring decor accessories like a shabby chic American flag wall hanging. Or why not try some red, white and blue candle holders? Simply take a vase or a number of hurricane glasses and fill them with red or blue beads. In the center of these filled glassed, put a white votive or tea candle in the middle and voila! An all-American candle holder/table centerpiece is created.
Another way you can add to your home decor is by creating July 4th inspired garland that can be hung in your home or outside. The look of the garland is only limited by your imagination. Try a combination of stars and the phrases USA and July 4, and see what happens.
Throw an outdoor party
What can be more American then getting together with friends and family to celebrate a holiday?
Use red, white and blue crepe streamers and Chinese lanterns and tissue fans in red, white and blue colors to create a festive backyard that screams “My Country, Tis of Thee.” Decorate outdoor tables with red and white checkered picnic cloths. Use glasses filled with red, white and blue gumballs and a miniature American flag as centerpieces. For dessert, get an apple pie or be inventive and create an American flag cupcake cake.
