How to wear that sequin dress?

So it’s prom or some other occasion and you’ve just got your plus size sequin dress. Now you’re wondering, “What’s next?”  Or in other words, “What else do I wear with this dress!?”

Follow these tips and you’ll be a plus-sized star shimmering in your sequin dress.

Find a great clutch

The next accessory is a great clutch bag. The clutch you choose can add a delicate touch of beauty to the sequin dress or the clutch you add can be just as shimmery and shiny with sequins as the dress you wear. Just make sure the clutch doesn’t outshine or contrast with the dress! Metallic-colored clutches and basic black clutches with touches of rhinestone detailing are great choices for your sequin dress.

Use your legs

If you are looking to have many “look-at me” moments then going bare leg in your sequin dress is the way to do it. If however, you want to tone down the sexy and play things more casual, a pair of black opaque tights are perfect for a sequin dress.

Choose fabulous shoes

Most stylistas will tell you the traditional shoes to add to a sequin dress are delicate strappy heels (even better if they are as shimmery as the dress) or a pair of seriously damaging stiletto heels. If you want to go non-traditional, you can try a pair sequin flats or the latest trend –a pair of clunky heels that almost look like ankle booties which is oh-so haute couture high fashion — if you can pull it off. Another option  is donning a pair of striking ankle boots that stop just a bit below the calf.
