Best of the Web: Style Blogs of the Week no. 54
This week brings us a passionate fashionista who refuses to settle for a mere “outfit” blog, an artist who takes her creative expression and applies it to the human hand, making nails her canvas, and a self professed shop-a-holic looking to maintain her fancy lifestyle on a budget.
Sounds right up your alley? Of course it is!
Dirt & Diamonds
definitely not an outfit blog
“I started my blog as a creative outlet for the inspirations of my up and coming clothing line Dirt & Diamonds, http://dirt-diamonds.com. My blog is basically a place where I can document anything and everything from mood boards, photography, inspirational quotes, or any other conversational chaos that I feel amusing enough to share with the web world. I’m not into the whole idea of “outfit posts.” On my blog I provide more of an innovative outlook on what I like from today’s fashion trends. Originality is key.”
Shades Of Magick
nails as art
“I’ve always been interested in nails and nail art since I was a young teenager. I originally started Shades of Magick as a way to keep up with nail art I’ve done (the good, the bad and the ugly) as well as polishes I’ve loved and enjoyed. It’s blossomed into a place that I hope inspires people to use their nails as another canvas for their works of art.“
creative style on a budget
“Just a former shop-a-holic turned mom, adjusting to being stylish on a down-sized budget. I originally started Oomph to accompany my small online store, as a means to show customers how to wear the items we sold. Eventually, I incorporated pieces of my own wardrobe and found this blog to be a much needed outlet for my creative juices – a way to satisfy my fashionable cravings amidst motherhood and the daily 9-5 grind.”
