How to set the table for Thanksgiving

With Halloween around the corner and Thanksgiving coming up, it’s time to get ready! One of the most important things about the holidays is the time you spend with family and friends. If you have family and friends over for Thanksgiving, you will want to set the table to impress. Here’s how you can set the table in a festive and simple way for your Thanksgiving feast.

First you need a plain colored tablecloth. For thanksgiving, orange, brown and neutral colors work well. Then you will need a table runner. Table runners dress up your table a little bit more for special occasions. There are many table runners that you can pick from, and I would recommend picking a special one for Thanksgiving meals. A harvest theme or fall theme would be perfect.

Then set out place mats or cloths around the table. Use your favorite holiday dishes, hopefully they all match! Then set out glasses for wine or water. Or if you are having tea, then you will need tea cups. Don’t forget the napkins and silverware. If it’s a formal dinner party and not everybody knows each other, name tags at each seat might be necessary.

Last but not least, you need a festive Thanksgiving centerpiece. You could arrange one yourself using small pumpkins or fall colored flowers. You can also set out candles on the table to create a romantic serene atmosphere. Just make sure that there is enough room for the turkey when you’re done!
