Three quick nursery decorating ideas

Baby crib beddingIf you or one of your friends is having a baby, congratulations! You are probably getting ready for the baby to arrive, and part of that process is decorating the nursery. You don’t have to go crazy, but there are just a few things you can do to make your baby’s room pleasant for the both of you.

Baby crib bedding

Make sure you pick out some baby crib bedding that will be comfortable for your baby, but that will also complement the over-all look and theme of the room. If you have a girl and are going with a pink or yellow theme, for example, then maybe pick a pink floral theme for the baby’s crib bedding.

Walls

Paint can be toxic, and it’s probably not a good idea for you to be breathing in the fumes if you are pregnant. However if you have the means to afford a painter, or can ask a friend for a favor, painting the baby’s room can add a lot to the décor. You can even pick out a stencil that you like and have a design painted on the wall. You also don’t have to paint every wall. Try painting one wall yellow or green.

Personalize

Make sure you add family photos to the room. Pick out some photo frames that you like, or photo frames that you decorated yourself. Put pictures of family and close family friends in those photos. You can hang them over the wall or put them on top of a baby dresser. Appropriately decorating the nursery will be a nice way of welcoming your baby into the family and home.
