Ant Knit
making children happy

“Some yarn, some fabric, some random thoughts. Ant Knit began as a place to share my adventures as I learned to knit, and then crochet. Making children happy is what I love most; therefore many of my projects begin with that end in mind. Crochet toys, particularly play food, are my current obsession. The smile from a child with a yarn PB&J, or spotted giraffe, clutched tightly in her hand brings me immeasurable joy.”
Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter
a vintage sparkled aesthetic

“Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter is a space I started back in 2008 as an outlet for some pent-up creativity I had been longing to put to use. It as a place to share my inspirations and passions (music, fashion, film, photography, art…) but also as a place to connect with wonderful people from all over the world – people who can appreciate the beauty as well as the oddities of life. While much of the focus is on my own sartorial adventures and life events, I try to keep it fresh by also posting things that spark my interest or in some small way inform my vintage-sprinkled aesthetic.”
Shape Moth
a quilting adventure

“My quilting adventure started in May 2010. I started sewing on my small sewing machine, started to write my own blog, opened a flickr account and fully discovered the beauty of the sewing world. As time passed I was finding more and more amazing shops with quilting fabrics, learning new techniques and so I started to design my own patterns. Now I sew quilts, pillows, softies, purses/clutches, design paper pieced and quilt patterns. My taste for the colours and patterns changed with the time. I like traditional designs, but I’m fascinated by modern quilt designs and geometrical patterns. I won a few online sewing contests and two of my patterns will be published soon – one in a book and one in a quilter’s magazine. I think that if somebody would have told me at the beginning of 2010 that soon, sewing will be my hobby, I would not believe them at all.”
Paint Drops Keep Falling
a celebration of colour and pattern

“My blog, Paintdrops Keep Falling, is a virtual kitchen table where I talk about what’s inspiring me, what I’m painting, what I’m knitting or crocheting, where I’m travelling to, what exhibitions I’m seeing. I love colour, pattern, art, making things and looking to other artists past and present for inspiration. My painting is a celebration of colour and pattern. I love ornament and design in both natural and man made objects. With a background in printed textiles I find myself most often drawn to flat, graphic pattern as a backdrop for flowers and domestic ceramics. I love to create still life paintings that either blend a harmonious colour palette or contrast with a vibrant ‘pop’ of colour. Paintdrops Keep Falling is gathering an enthusiastic following and I love to hear from anyone who shares my passions and appreciates my work.”
The Paper Boutique
paper crafting for all skill levels

“The Paper Boutique is a paper crafting blog for all skill levels. Mondays are typically reserved for card and paper craft projects ranging from simple to complex. On Wednesdays, there are project or DIY videos posted. The most recent video series demonstrated how to make a homemade food lovers smash book and accessories. Fab Five Fridays showcase five must see crafting blogs, websites or posts.”
Projects By Jane
every bag has a story

“Projects By Jane chronicles my journey through bag-making. It started out innocently as a journal to keep track of the bags I had made. Then things went out of control. Bag-making turned into a passion and later serious business. My adventures selling at craft markets and online markets are often vividly told in too many details. I try to capture the essence of each bag in my posts and even though not every post is about my bags, every bag has a story.”
Muncher Cruncher

“I am a firm believer that good health is a huge contributor to happiness. When we feeling healthy and confident about the way we look it will show positively in all areas of life. As a personal trainer, nutrition counselor, and wellness coach, I have strived to help others achieve that happiness by sharing my knowledge on health and fitness. Muncher Cruncher is meant to be a guide to show others tips and tricks on how implementing a healthy lifestyle is possible for everyone.”
