Gluten Free Nut Buiscuits
Hi I’m Sanda from Little Upside Down Cake, and today I’m going to show you how to make my mum’s famous Gluten Free Nut Biscuits. I still remember my mum making these lemon flavoured nut biscuits. Our house would smell of sweets, nuts and lemon for hours. She would always make them for trips, picnics or during winter to eat them with some tea or coffee. I love their flavour, crunchy on the outside but chewy inside. They were my favourite winter treat.
Gluten Free Nut Biscuits
- 2 egg whites
- 200g sugar
- 1 lemon
- 300g ground nut
- Heat your oven to 150C
- Beat egg whites with sugar. Add lemon zest and juice and continue mixing. You can use a beater or a manual food grinder
- Slowly add ground nuts, form biscuits and place on lined baking tray.
- Bake for 15 minutes on 150C and then lower temperature to 100C and bake for an additional 50 minutes.
- Let it cook and when cooled place in container.
