Keep your feet cozy this winter
Winter is upon us once again, and that can only mean one thing: freezing cold feet! There’s nothing worse than cold feet. There are a few reasons for this: First off, the old adage that hot air rises and cool air falls is true. Your feet are always stuck at the coldest part of your house. Secondly, your feet don’t have a lot of muscle in them to keep them warm. Finally, your body knows that keeping it’s core warm is essential to survival, so when it’s cold outside all your body heat goes to your central area, leaving your hands and feet without sufficient warmth. But here are some ways around nature to keep your tooties toasty and warm this winter season.
Slippers: Slippers are definitely a must. The name says it all, they slip right on and off your feet! So not only are they convenient, but warm, comfortable, and they come in a variety of styles. There are character slippers (I used to have Scooby Doo), fur lined bootie slippers, Uggs, or if you’re in a pinch you can borrow from your significant other and just wear some big man slippers.
Wool Socks: I like wool socks because they’re versatile, being good for both in and out of the house. I wear mine all the time, but they are especially useful when out in the snow where it’s especially important to keep your feet warm and comfortable.
If your feet are really cold, you can wear both the wool socks and the slippers. So no matter what, your feet should stay extra warm during the upcoming winter months!
