5 tips for upgrading the bedroom
If you’ve drawn a blank on ideas to upgrade your bedroom, look no further. I’ve recently done up my bedroom and made a list of a few useful ideas you can go through. If you have a color theme you particularly like, now is the time to implement it. Take a look at these ideas so you can get more organized and start upgrading:
Paint your walls with soothing colors that are serene yet cheerful. Keep a design or theme in mind or opt for wallpaper in various patterns or colors to suit your taste. White, gray or beige is good for a modern look while patterned wallpaper will give a retro look.
If you’ve gone for neutral colored walls, you can experiment with a bold animal print comforter. For a more subtle look, just use animal print pillows or sheets. Black damask bedding can give an opulent look. If you’ve painted one wall a bold color, mix and match two vibrant colors and accessorize to give your room a unique look. Add your own personality by adding curtains and an area rug in colors that you’re fond of.
Bedroom wall lamps can add a touch of elegance to your room. Which unique light fixtures to use will depend on the décor of your bedroom. An old fashioned room looks good with brass fixtures and a room with modern décor will look good with steel and glass fittings. Inverted lighting above the bed or a floor lamp helps can give the room a peaceful aura.
If you have a spacious room, make the area cozy by getting a love seat for next to the window. Arrange a couple of stools or chairs as accent pieces at the foot of the bed. Mirrored wardrobes are space-saving and will make a great addition to your room.
If you have a large space behind the bed, hang larger prints or small paintings side by side above the bed. If you want to spend extra on a big painting or piece of art work, go for it.
