Is a travel system right for you?
It’s common to see almost all new parents purchase some sort of travel system. Oftentimes you will see parents getting frustrated because they have purchased a car seat that barely fits in their car or they can be seen struggling to fit the stroller in their trunk. It’s always a good idea to make sure you are buying a travel system that suits your needs and works well for you and your baby.
Choose the car seat first
You should first find a travel system that can easily fit inside your vehicle. They should be easy to install and use. Don’t forget to look for a 5-point harness system for the car seat. You need one that will be reliable like a Chicco cortina travel system. The last thing you need is your car seat or stroller to break when you least expect it.
Second, choose your favorite travel system stroller
Travel system strollers come in an array of colors, shapes and sizes. For a girl, a pink convertible car seat would be most fitting. There are lightweight strollers, jogging strollers and full-size strollers that are packed with cool features. Before jumping the gun on a cheap stroller, consider where you will use it, it’s folding mechanism, weight and whether it will be difficult to navigate through cramped areas.
Do you need a travel system at all?
A lot of experienced parents might not like travel systems because they can be bulky. Some would rather carry their baby in a backpack carrier or sling. There is no denying that you will need a car seat but you can easily manage without the combination of both a stroller and a car seat if you so desire.
