Create a spa-like bathroom
Creating a calm and soothing environment for your bathroom is essential for it to have that spa-like atmosphere. If you’re just looking at changing the look of your bathroom and are not interested in major remodeling, take a look at some valuable tips I’ve listed for you. Keep one thing in mind, don’t go overboard. Keeping it subtle is the key to achieving a spa-like bathroom.
Keep the color scheme calm and quiet. White is best for that zen-like atmosphere, but you can opt for a pale green, light blue or a neutral color like beige.
Don’t skimp on the luxuries for that plush look. Built in drawers, vanities, or warming drawers for your towels are a good idea. Keep your hair-dryer and curling iron inside the vanities and out of sight. You can even get a fireplace to add to the decadent and warm look.
Whatever you buy, don’t be stingy when it comes to quality. Make sure you buy high quality soft towels, rugs, rain showerhead, a teak bath stool, bathmats, robes, mirror, bathtub and other accessories.
Pay a lot of attention to the lighting. Well-concealed lights at strategically placed points can add to the elegant atmosphere. Don’t even bother looking at harsh, glaring lights.
Finally, create an upscale look by placing scented candles, small towels rolled and placed in cane baskets, a collection of scented oils, shampoos and conditioners in pretty containers near the sink or bathtub.
Remember to keep the look uncluttered. The idea is for you to create a quiet haven where you can relax and unwind.
