“The Weekend Gourmet started in August 2010 as a way to share recipes I made with my friends and family. Since then, it has grown into something bigger that I’m very proud of. I live in Texas, and I feature my adaptations of recipes that I find in cookbooks and online, along with a few Weekend Gourmet original recipes. I love to travel and dine out, so sometimes I feature posts on particularly good restaurants meals or the foods we eat when we travel. I enjoy cooking more than baking, but I do try to bake at least once a month for the blog…mainly as a way to stretch myself in the kitchen and get out of my comfort zone. The food that I cook is full of lots of big flavor…if there’s a way to add another dimension or extra flavor to a recipe, I’ll try to find it! My motto is, Life is too short to eat bad food!” I tend to write the way I talk: like we’re sitting around my kitchen cooking and eating together. I like to have fun in the kitchen, and I don’t take myself too seriously. I recently made my television debut, cooking my Kitchen Sink Jambalaya for Mardi Gras on a local morning show. I’m not sure exactly where the blog is going, but I’m taking it as it comes and enjoying every single minute!!”
“Formerly from both the Interior Design and Theater fields, artist Noelle McAdams brings a unique perspective to crafting. “paper & ICE” is her informative blog with a fresh and happy look. Both old and new crafting supplies are used to create unique greeting cards, scrapbook layouts, and home decorator items. Sometimes the focus turns to handmade party decorations, mixed media art, and budget decorating projects. Tutorials are provided, as well as the designer’s perspective on artistic choice and use of materials. Stop by to enjoy some visual dessert, and learn to expand your own crafting skills.”
“Seeing a child’s face on his birthday, a bride on her wedding, and a mom on her baby shower is Priceless. That’s why we love to celebrate life. Our boutique is specialize to your likings and style. “We don’t just create party favors, we create lasting memories.”
“Our company’s blog is full of inspiration for paper crafters. We display cards created by some of the most talented designers in the industry and people come from all over the world to see what we have to share.”
