3 steps to having the best lawn in your neighborhood
Having a beautiful lawn is the American dream. There is nothing quite like having your own plush, green lawn to have a BBQ on, play catch with your kids, and get your dogs some exercise. But having a beautiful lawn is a lot of work. It takes the up most care and attention to get it just right. Today I’m going to show you 3 key factors that could mean the difference between having a beautiful lawn, and a patchy, brown lawn.
Lawn Mower: You’re lawn isn’t going to look very good if the grass is growing wildly and all over the place. Which means you’ll need a solid lawn mower to get the job done. If you have a smaller lawn, you can get away with an electric lawn mower, you just need to be close enough to a power source. Otherwise you’ll have to settle for a gas powered mower. Make sure you don’t cut the grass too short, you can kill out the grass. As far as the brand goes, go for the first name in the business, John Deere lawn mowers.
Fertilizer: Fertilizing will make your lawn grow faster and thicker. You don’t want to over fertilize, that can lead to fungus growth. Instead be sure to do it about four times a year, following the instructions on the bag closely. Many fertilizers include a weed blocker, killing two birds with one stone. To ensure proper coverage, apply it with a fertilizer spreader.
Watering: The easiest way to water your lawn is to install an underground watering sprinkler system. However, they can be expensive, especially if you have it professionally installed. The flip side is watering the lawn yourself. But that can be time consuming, or you could waste water if you just place a sprinkler on the lawn then forget about it. Find which option works best for you.
